shows the old lighthouse at Cape Bonavista (Newfoundland) on the eastenmost point in Canada. Cape Bonavista was approached by John Cabot in 1497. The old lighthouse was erected 1843 und worked until 1962, replaced by a modern steel-tower, seen behind. The idyllic town of Bonavista about 5km southwest is wellknown for its architecture and the harbour.
