an uncommon view of the historic Cape-Hatteras Lighthouse
in North Carolina, USA. Due to erosion on the shore, the lighthouse
was just 15 feet from the ocean’s edge and was in imminent danger.
In 1999, the 5000-tons stucture had to be moved in a spectacular
transport from its original location at the edge of the ocean to safer
ground 880 m inland, and 460 m from the shoreline.
