We had beautiful Summer-days this week but things changed
dramatically yesterday afternoon. Due to the hot and very dry week
the fire hazard rose quick and before evening were 139 new Forest-
fires registered, some with a 1000-2000 hectare-size. Many villages
had to be evacuated, highways had to be closed and many houses are
burned down. British Columbia is in a state of emergency!

PS. our lake, the ditch and the pool are full, three firepumps and hoses are prepared and the generator is ready, no big risk for us! Forest fires are a part of Canadian summers, so we know how to defend..... Position (Google Earth): N 51°53'02" /W 120°01'25", elev. 720 m Camera: Sony HX400V w.
