the main front of the famous John-Rutledge-House in
the old downtown of Charleston. This 1989 renovated building, named
after an early Governor of South Carolina, is now a luxurious Hotel
with traditional Baldachin-beds and Marble-Fireplaces in every room.
Remarkable are the filigree wrought-iron handrails and balustrades.
