made at the pier of Hanavave, a lttle settlement on the extremly remote island of Fatu Hiva in the Marquesas-Group. It shows a few of well-(if not over-)nurished women, waiting for the "Aranui", a ship which is the only connection to the rest of the world. Sailing only once a month that's the most important day for the around 200 inhabitants of Hanavave.
