shows the Betatakin Ruins within Navajo National Monument
near Kayenta, Arizona. This dwellings were created around 1250 AD and
about 150 people lived for a short time here. There are reasons to
believe the buildings were inhabited for perhaps 20 years only before
the dry and harsh climate forced them to abandon this place. click here for Google Maps View Position: N36°41'03" W110°32'05", elev.2100m/6900ft Camera: Nikon D50, date: 18/03/2007, 11:00 local |
